I have been a writer and editor for more than five years. I have worked on a variety of projects covering a wide range of topics. I wrote and developed recipes for a blog, I have constructed and edited news articles for an online news source, and I have written and edited numerous types of pages for a Government of Canada website. I have in-depth knowledge of many content management systems and can learn others quickly.
My education, provided by the Professional Writer program at Algonquin College, has given me knowledge and experience in a variety of writing jobs. I thrive when given challenging situations that give me a chance to learn new skills. I am a voracious reader and consumer of all types of written work. I love to bake (when I have the time) and spend time outdoors (when it isn’t cold out).
During my time at Algonquin College, my work placement with Stittsville Central, and my job with the Government of Canada I have excelled in my work and have increased my knowledge of writing techniques, such as;
